Dear Pet Parents
You asked. We heard. Here is a way to give back to our community!
A quick background
India has been dealing with COVID-19, the street animals have been suffering in their fight for survival. Usually, street animals depend on roadside eateries and volunteers who look after them. However, with the closure of shops and eateries amidst the lockdown measures, street animals are left to fend for themselves.
At Petsy, we believe that every animal is worth of love, care, and kindness. In these trying times, we believe that we can come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate animals.
What is Petsy doing?
We have pledged to donate 200kgs worth of dog and cat food to Save The Paws.
Save The Paws is an NGO that works towards the rehabilitation and re-homing of abused and abandoned dogs in Mumbai. This is achieved by arranging adoption camps at various locations across the city. These adoption camps invite rescuers from all over the city to bring their rescued animals and meet with so many potential adopting families. Apart from the adoption camps Save The Paws support feeders all over the city to help with feeding resources for the voiceless strays.
Save The Paws will distribute the donated food to feeders around Mumbai to assist them in their feeding efforts.
How can you help
As mentioned above, Petsy has pledged to donate 200kgs worth of dog and cat food. You can help by pledging an amount of food towards our goal. For example, you may choose to pledge 1kg, or 2kgs, or 5kgs, 10kgs or even more!
Petsy will be running its donation drive for one week i.e. from 22 April till 29 April.
At the end of the campaign, we will collate the amount of food pledged and donate it to Save The Paws. For any gap – we’ll top it up!
If you’re ready to pledge your amount:
Your pledge - no matter how big or small can make a difference in the live of a less fortunate animals.
Be safe and stay at home.
As always, our love to all.
