Hello,
Thank you for this toy, the cats played with it for a while not their favourite but they play with it when kept around them. However, the toy delivered to me had the plastic string removed so it was probably playing the sound all through the delivery and travel. I don't know the actual loudness of the sound, when it reached me it was mild yet audible
My cat was nuts for this intially..later on he played with it whenever he felt like playing. Takes time to initiate a play but once set the tempo .. you're good to go
