How to choose the right muzzle for your dog:
- Take a tape measure to measure the dog's snout at the point shown. Do not hold the tape measure too tightly!
- Fit the selected muzzle to your dog. Check the fit by running two fingers under the muzzle. Your dog should be able to open her snout a little bit and move her tongue freely. Better a little bit too loose than too tight!
How to fit the muzzle correctly:
- Position the muzzle over your dog's snout and check that it fits comfortably.
- Close and adjust the neck strap behind your dog's head.
- Make sure that the neck strap is neither twisted nor too tight.
Attention:
- Make sure that you have chosen the right muzzle.
- The muzzle must not be tight.
- Get your dog used to the muzzle slowly, e.g. by giving her treats when putting it on.
- Be a responsible dog owner! Do not leave your dog unattended when wearing the muzzle! Equally, it should not be worn for longer periods of time.
- Do not use a muzzle to punish the dog.
- Please note that for animal welfare reasons, this product should not be used over a longer period of time (<15 minutes) and not during physical activity (e.g. walks).
